Brandon Baker

Percussion Director

Mr. Baker is in his sixth year of teaching in Manor ISD.  He received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Southwestern University in Georgetown with an emphasis in percussion, and spent most of his musical career in and around the Austin area.  He taught the battery and front ensemble sections at Salado HS as well as private lessons for students at Hill Country MS.  He has had the great fortune to work with Middle School and High School band programs in Leander ISD and looks forward to continuing his expertise at New Tech Middle and High Schools. Mr. Baker is an active member of TMEA and ATSSB, and was named Manor ISD's Fine Arts Teacher of the Month for February 2021. In his free time, he is a drummer, gamer, and mild sports enthusiast. Mr. Baker grew up and went to school in the Buda/Kyle area before moving to Georgetown 8 years ago to further pursue his musical and educational goals.  He feels privileged to stay and teach in an area where he has spent his entire life.
